Today’s effective medical practice professionals must function as one-stop communication shops. They must be well-rounded communication virtuosos who are adept at communicating with diverse audiences and who can choose from and use masterfully ever-evolving and changing communication media and technologies. Does that sound like a tall order? It is. However, help is on the way.

In this jam-packed program, long-time Journal of Medical Practice Management columnist Dr. Laura Hills will share her road-tested tips, tricks, and techniques for thriving in today’s challenging communication contexts. She will share with you her Four-Pillar Model for Effective Communication™ and delve into the six essential communication skill areas that give highly successful medical practice professionals their edge. She will help participants assess and understand today’s audiences and teach them how to communicate strategically with them. Invest just 90-minutes of your time and come learn in this fast-paced, lively program how to thrive in today’s ever-evolving medical practice communication environment. See how you can get today’s patients and colleagues to be more receptive to you, to listen to you, and ultimately, to do what you want them to do, even as the ways in which you communicate continue to evolve.

Participants in this program will learn to:

  • Establish strategic goals for every communication.
  • Recognize when, where, and how to communicate – and to whom.
  • Speak and write in an engaging style, without falling prey to corporate-speak, buzzwords, jargon, and clichés.
  • Identify and read body language cues from others.
  • Use visual and digital communication strategies to draw the reader’s eye where they want it.
  • Increase their speech comprehensibility.

As a bonus, for 20 minutes at the end of the session, you'll have the opportunity to pose your questions in real time to Laura Sachs Hills
